Peer Review Policy
The Sigma Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences (SJMSS) applies a double-anonymous peer-review process for research articles, review articles, and short communications. In this process, the identities of authors and reviewers are not disclosed to each other during the review process.
All submitted manuscripts are first assessed by the editorial team to determine whether they fall within the journal’s scope and meet basic scholarly, technical, formatting, and ethical requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be declined without external review.
Manuscripts considered suitable for review are assigned to qualified reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. Reviewers are asked to evaluate the originality, scientific quality, methodological soundness, clarity, relevance, and contribution of the manuscript.
Based on reviewer reports and editorial assessment, the editorial decision may be one of the following:
• Accept
• Accept with minor revisions
• Revise and resubmit
• Reject
The final decision regarding publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief or the responsible editor. Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, confidential, and timely evaluations. Authors are expected to respond clearly and professionally to reviewer comments when revisions are requested.
Editorials and letters to the editor may be reviewed internally by the editorial team and may be sent for external review when deemed necessary.
