Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

Sigma Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences (SJMSS) welcomes original research articles, review papers, methodological papers, and scholarly contributions in mathematics, statistics, data analysis, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Manuscripts should be written clearly in English and should present original, unpublished work that is not under consideration by another journal. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the content, data, references, formulas, tables, figures, and ethical declarations included in the submission.

Manuscripts should normally include the following elements:

  • Title

  • Author names and affiliations

  • Corresponding author email

  • Abstract

  • Keywords

  • Main text

  • Conclusions

  • Acknowledgements, if applicable

  • Funding statement, if applicable

  • Conflict of interest statement

  • References

Submissions should be prepared in Microsoft Word or LaTeX-generated PDF format where appropriate. Mathematical symbols, equations, tables, and figures should be clear and professionally presented. References should be complete, accurate, and consistently formatted.

Authors must ensure that all cited works are properly acknowledged. Plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, image manipulation, and unethical authorship practices are not accepted.

Authors must confirm that:

  • The submission has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration by another journal.
  • The manuscript falls within the scope of Sigma Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences.
  • The manuscript file is complete and prepared in an editable format where possible.
  • The text, equations, tables, and figures are clear and properly formatted.
  • All references are accurate, complete, and cited in the text.
  • All authors and contributors have been correctly listed.
  • All authors have approved the submitted version of the manuscript.
  • Any funding sources, conflicts of interest, acknowledgements, or ethical considerations have been disclosed.
  • The submission does not contain plagiarism, fabricated data, or any form of research misconduct.

Research Articles

This section publishes original research articles that present significant theoretical, methodological, or applied contributions to mathematics, statistics, data science, probability, applied mathematics, computational mathematics, and related fields. Submissions are subject to double-anonymous peer review and must demonstrate scientific rigor, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope.

Review Articles

This section publishes comprehensive review articles that critically examine, synthesize, and evaluate existing research in mathematics, statistics, data science, applied mathematics, computational sciences, and related disciplines. Review articles should provide valuable insights into current developments, identify research gaps, and suggest future directions for investigation. All submissions undergo double-anonymous peer review.

Short Communications

This section publishes concise reports of original research findings, innovative methodologies, preliminary results of significant importance, and noteworthy developments in mathematics, statistics, data science, applied mathematics, and related fields. Short Communications should present clear and significant contributions in a concise format and are subject to double-anonymous peer review.
