Plagiarism Policy
The Sigma Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences (SJMSS) is committed to academic integrity and does not tolerate plagiarism or any form of scholarly misconduct.
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, copying text, ideas, data, figures, tables, equations, computer code, or research results from another source without proper citation or permission. Self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, redundant publication, and submission of substantially similar work to multiple journals are also considered unethical practices.
All submitted manuscripts may be screened for plagiarism or similarity before or during the editorial review process. The editorial team may use available plagiarism detection tools, manual checks, reviewer reports, or other methods to assess originality.
If plagiarism or substantial overlap is detected before publication, the manuscript may be rejected. If plagiarism is identified after publication, the journal may issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction, depending on the seriousness of the case.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources are properly cited and that their manuscripts comply with accepted standards of academic integrity and publication ethics.
